Get items Top Count

Hi Since we are facing the issue that not all of the items can be gotten by Get items action. so we are considering to increase the limit up to the list view threshold limit of 5,000 (Top Count ).

I would like to confirm that if that will impact the data extraction when I set both Filter Query and Top Count,

 is Filter Query applied earlier than data extraction?

in other words, originally the data number exceeds 5000 if without Filter Query, is there any problem if the number becomes 5000 or less after narrowing down with Filter Query?

Top count represent the maximum nr of elements provided as output. If either the list contains less elements, or your ODATA Filter restricts the results to a lower value, 'Get items' should not provide you a number of elements equivalent to the top count setting.
Please note you can also activate pagination instead of top count to increase the maximum nr of results by default, also some other techniques to get rid of 5.000 limit if it is set by your license. Great stuff here:
