Get string value from GUID then Assign into Variable

Hello,

I am trying to create a flow that is triggered when a support case is created in Dynamics 365 CRM.  The goal is to post a message as a Flow bot to a user in MS Teams.  The main problem I am running into is displaying the string value instead of a GUID for certain fields from the case such as the Owner, Customer, etc... then assigning those value to variables to be used later on.  I am sure this is quite simple but I'm having a very hard time finding examples for these.  Everything I have tried continues to give me the GUID, not the name.

Much thanks in advance!

Re: Get string value from GUID then Assign into Variable

Ok I have tested this on a flow and works for me.

Dynmaics creates, updates, and lists records in GUIDs when it can. So right after you do the get record, add a compose action and put in the 'Owner' Entity in the Input and for the output a dynamic list should show multiple options, in this case 'Full Name' is what we want.

When you run the flow the Output of the Compose will be the full name of the 'Owner'User Fullname 1.png

Now assign the output to a varibale to be used in teams

Have you tried using Data Operations - Compose.

Use the Compose action on the dynamics Input and run the flow. Than check the outputs of the compose.

I would test this but am currently not near my
Computer.

Hope this helps 🙂
