Hi all,
I want to get the number of sharepoint creations of different categories from January to December and output to html report,
so far I only thought of a very stupid way to do it:
1. Filter by sharepint ODATA
2. Create Filter array
3. Use Compose to input length(body('Filter_array'))
I need to get created quantity from January to December from 6 categories. If I use my method, I need to create 72 combine and filter arrays.
Is there a better way this can be done?
Hi @Kenny3669
So in simple words, you need to loop through each month, for each month there are 6 categories, so from that u need to total count of each cTEGORY of each month right ?
Yes!
The following is part of my list
Category | Location | Month |
Damage | Shop | 01 |
New | Office | 01 |
New | Office | 01 |
Damage | Shop | 01 |
Replace | Office | 02 |
Borrow | Office | 03 |
Borrow | Office | 03 |
Lose | Client | 04 |
About 50-100 new items are created every month, so I hope to be able to calculate the total number of each Category for each month. may I know there is a better way?
Hi @Kenny3669
Have you tried this approach earlier?
Like looping through each month and then inside it looping through each category from which we take count of each category for each month
Can you provide some details?
I tried Filter array and compose length, but if I hope able to calculate the total number of each Category for each month, I need to build very much Filter array and compose.
I also tried a method similar to yours but I need to create a select and 12 month compose for all categories ?
Hi @Kenny3669
I have used the below list
Flow design
1. Get items helps to retrive the items from sharepoint list
2. select action will reterive the month column from get items output
3. In apply to each we use union method to get unique month from select action output like below
Inside the apply to each loop
3a. Filter the value array for each month
3b. Use select action to get category values from output of filter array
3C. Use another apply to each loop inside the below
3c1. use filter array action to filter the output of previoslsy used filter array with current iterating caetgory
Now use compose action to get count of category for corresponding month
Hope it helps !
Mark it as solution if it resolves your query !
Interesting, this is exactly what I need!
I also want to know how to output the results of Display 1 and Display 2 separately outside of Apply to each?
Because I hope to be able to output the number of each month in the form of an html table,
For Examples:
Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec | |
New | 10 | 20 | 30 | 40 | 50 | 60 | 70 | 80 | 90 | 10 | 11 | 12 |
Replace | ||||||||||||
Borrow | ||||||||||||
Damage | 0 | 0 | 9 | 0 | 5 | 78 | 7 | 2 | 6 | 7 | 0 | 1 |
Lose |
In the future, the number of items per month will exceed 1000. Do you know the maximum number of rows is each time?
