Getting file from zip folder multiple versions

Hi. I receive an email on a daily basis that I need to get data from a file within and update another file with it.

  • The email has two attachments, a .zip folder and a .txt file
  • The .zip folder has six files inside
  • The six files are three .csv and .pdf (two versions of the same file)
  • The names are identical on the .csv and .pdf version

I am quite new to power automate so I'm having trouble creating a flow for this. Below is what I have at the moment (I haven't added the update file step yet but use this on other flows so I should be fine with it).

So in my head the steps should be:

  1. When a new email arrives save attachments in folder
  2. Get the .zip attachment (I used size to differentiate here to get it)
  3. Extract the .zip attachment
  4. Get the .csv version of the file I need
  5. Update file

Thanks!

Hi @aldileolions

According to your description, you want to extract .zip attachment and get info from .csv file in it then update file.

I set up a flow, you can take a try with the following screenshots to see if it helps.

Flow in details:

When I receive an email like this:

vLilyWmsft_6-1632371983776.png

I will extract the .zip and get the .csv content.

Hope the content above may help you.
