Handle restore from recycle bin in SharePoint

Hello.

I'm looking for a SharePoint trigger that will react when a file is restored from the recycle bin. I would have expected the trigger "When a file is created or modified (properties only)" to handle this scenario, but as it turns out, it does not.

Perhaps it can be considered a bug or at least a missing feature.

But maybe I'm overlooking something obvious. Can someone help?

Regards,

Hey Mate, I think it would not be possible.

My idea was to force users to use Flow if they want to restore the files that what you can detect (but this also becomes extremely tricky).

That being said you can submit an idea and Microsoft might consider it in future - https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Ideas/idb-p/MPAIdeas

I am sorry I do not have a better answer.

Hey Mate @Jcoolsen ,

Please have a look at https://poszytek.eu/en/microsoft-en/office-365-en/powerautomate-en/restore-removed-files-in-sharepoi...

Thank you @CFernandes but that is not exactly what I'm looking for. The article answers the question on how to handle the situation when a file is deleted (moved to the recycle bin), which is certainly good to know. But what I'm looking for is how to detect when a file is restored from the recycle bin, i.e. recreated in a document library.

@CFernandes thank you. I appreciate the effort. Yes, I will certainly record an idea.
Would you not think that the existing trigger for files Created and Modified ought to handle this case?

Edit: Idea created here: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Ideas/The-SharePoint-trigger-quot-When-a-file-is-...

@Jcoolsen I have upvoted the idea.
