How to HTML Email TO a Sharepoint List

 Hello,

I have an HTML email form that I'd like users to fill out then mail to me. When I receive the email, I'd like a Flow to kick off which takes the values entered in the HTML email form and adds them to columns in a Sharepoint List.

Is this possible with Flow?

  1. User fills out HTML email form
  2. User emails completed form to me
  3. Flow takes HTML email from my inbox and writes each form field to a Sharepoint list

Thank you

Re: How to HTML Email TO a Sharepoint List

Hi @ericonline,

Could you please share more details about the output in "the plain text content" in the "Html to text" action?

Do you want to insert the "7/1/18" to a "Evaluation Date" column in a sharepoint list item, and insert the "Eric" to a "Evaluator Name" column in the sharepoint list item?

If I understand you correctly, you could add a compose under the "Html to text" action, and then choose the "the plain text content" dynamic content of the "Html to text" action in the Compose input field,

And then refer to screenshot below to create the flow:

The expression of the "Evaluator Name" column in the sharepoint list item as below:

last(split(outputs('Compose'),'Evaluator Name:'))

The expression of the "Evaluation Date" column in the sharepoint list item as below:

last(split(first(split(outputs('Compose'),'Evaluator Name:')),'Evaluation Date:'))

The flow would run successfully as below:

Best regards,

Alice

Re: How to HTML Email TO a Sharepoint List

Hello @v-yuazh-msft. My apologies for the delay.

Here is the HTML email that users receive when they click "Offline Form" button in the app:

offlineForm.png

I have the following:

  • User clicks "Offline form" in a PowerApp
  • HTML email (above) is sent to user from their own address
  • User clicks "Reply" (to self)
  • Fills in the "Answer" column using Outlook offline
  • Clicks "Send"
  • When completed email is received, Flow starts based on the subject line
  • Flow converts HTML to Text

Here is the Flow:

emailFlow1.png

Here is the output:

emailFlow2.png

I need the following:

  • Flow adds parsed itmes to a Sharepoint list

How do I do this?

Thank you
