I have a class group of 400 students, and I have 5 different quizzes with me on equal weightage. I want to assign a random quiz set to each of the team members at a particular time. Is there a way to do it using Flow?
I can assign the test manually but definitely that's not a good idea. On the other side, there is no way to choose a quiz from its ID but only by the name of the quiz. And I don't want to name my quizzes differently(means all the 5 sets should have a name and only the questions should be different) as that may open the gate for sharing answers.
@DavidMath and you want to send the url from the test? if is yes you can do this.
1.-Create an excel with the columns you need form example
|ID||Quiz Name||Quiz URL from MSForms|
2.- Then fill the data and in power automate do this
then you are sending a random url to a specific student group
Ooops! @ChristianAbata was faster than me, so I guess no need to share example anymore!
I more suggestion: I would store somewhere (in the same excel but in a different table?) the assignment list... a structure like
STUDENT#email QUIZ#ID ======================== student#1 quiz#2 student#2 quiz#1 student#3 quiz#4 ... student#n quiz#3
Moreover, if you initialize this second table with student#email column values, you can make your flow iterate over all of them by means of an 'Apply to each', so in each iteration (i.e. on each table row) you can both update quiz#ID column, and also assign current student email to your 'Send an email' 'To' input.
Hope this makes sense
