How to fill Owner ID of "Create new row" from Get User Profile (V2)?

Having problems trying to fill the Owner ID in a "Common Data Service (Dataverse) Create new Row" action from the responder of a Teams Adaptive card.

I tried using the 'id' value from a "Get User Profile (V2)" action using the UPN of the teams card responder to get the profile but the 'id' from the action does not seem to be recognized. Getting a "Resource not found for the segment " error.

Effectively, I would like the responder of the Teams Card to be the Owner/Author of the new row for the Dataverse record. Or am I mistaking what that field is for.

Any thoughts?

Hi @virakones

This is what you need to do. If you want to allocate a user or team then find the userid or teamid. You can find the user id or team id using the List rows (Users or Teams entity) and use filter query to find the relevant id. Once you find the relevant id you can set the id as follows under your create a row action step.

/triggerOutputs()?['body/_ownerid_value@Microsoft.Dynamics.CRM.lookuplogicalname']/triggerOutputs()?['body/_ownerid_value']

OR

/owner_type/owner_value

OR

if it is a system user:

/systemusers/owner_value

For your information, if anyone wants to add an account to a contact record, you must also use this solution's format and instead of account('ID') it is actually accounts('ID'), similar to the teams('ID') in the solution.

Thanks so much @abm

I'm following the example but still get an error.
the Owner value is pulled from a list row query and I can see its:  1eb4af9c-079f-ec11-b400-0022480b0576
I'm trying to add it directly and it still fails

Hello @ezFlow,

It looks like you may have an extra forward slash in there ( / ).
Try /systemusers(1eb4af9c--079f-ec11-b400-0022480b0576)

Tried but keep getting the same strange error.

Hm,

You may want to double check what the output looks like on a dynamic content output of UserId.

I vaguely remember the format also being weird in some places where it removes the dashes ( - ).

I'm also getting this same error. Does anyone have a fix?
