How to go back to a previous step in Flow

New to Flow but an expert with SharePoint Designer Workflows. Normally in SP Designer workflow you can go back to a step of the workflow, is this possible in Flow too and how can I achieve this.

I am trying to create an approval workflow whereby once 1st approver rejects, then it goes to 2nd and 3rd reviewer to validate the reject, if the 3rd reviewer step does not validate the reject, he then resubmits this back to 1st approver with comments to reassess for approval or final rejection. This is the step I need to achieve where it goes back to the approver step and starts the workflow steps. I don't want to have to rebuild the same steps base on the 3rd reviewer's actions. I want the workflow to go back to that step and start same process again. But can't seem to find the right action / condition to achieve this.

Many thanks in advance.

Re: How to go back to a previous step in Flow

Hi @lesman,

Have you checked the following article?

Manage sequential approvals with Microsoft Flow

There is no go back to previous step available under Microsoft Flow.

You may take a try with the Do Until Action, to repeat the action if all the Approval Email has been rejected.

With WorkFlow Definition Language.

Thanks @v-micsh-msft, I'll try the Do Until Action now and feedback if this works fine. But it actually makes sense for Microsoft to just include a simple action to go back to any step you want a workflow to restart from. It's a no brainer not to have this.

Re: How to go back to a previous step in Flow

So i've just tried the Do Until action, I think this might work for when there's only 1 action in the steps as I got an error when I implemented this. However, I have multiple actions and conditions where I want the flow to restart from hence the error.

any known workaround for this @v-micsh-msft?
