Re: How to pull in a Smartsheet cell value into the subject line

Hi @kbrowning33 ,

Do you want to get value from two seperate cells from Smartsheet then use it as the email subject?

Please check if the following workaorund will work for you.

Add the trigger When a new row is created.

Initialize variable, Name set as Test, Type as Array.

Add an Apply to each, select value from dynamic content Rows Cells.

Within Apply to each, add Compose, select dynamic content Current item.

Add Compose2, input the following code:

outputs('compose')?['displayvalue']

Add Append to array variable, select Name as Test, Value as Compose2 Output.

Under Apply to each, add Compose 3 with the following code:

join(variables('Test'),'-')

Add action Send an email, select output of Compose 3 for the Subject line of action Send an email.

Re: How to pull in a Smartsheet cell value into the subject line

Hi @kbrowning33 ,

The error message says that the value is null. Please make sure the Compose function does return a valid value.

By the way, in the trigger When a new row is created, please try to input the columns that contained in the sheet.

Best regards,

Mabel
