How to send an email when a list cell is modified from no to yes

Hi,

I am trying to create a stock list in SharePoint.

I have made a list with all items we stock and want an email when the 'current stock' becomes lower than the 'minimum stock.

At the moment I have a re-order column that says 'no' if there is enough stock and 'yes' if there isn't.

I am trying to use this change from 'No' to 'Yes' as the trigger for the email.

I'm sure its something simple I am missing but I can't work it out. I have attached what I have at the moment below.

Any help is appreciated.

I think I have worked it out.

I ignored the re-order column and set the trigger as the current stock is less than the minimum stock and it has started to work.

I had tried this before but this time I also had the compose section in so @juresti that may have worked after all.

Thanks everyone. You have been a great help.

Hello @mr-samd

Have you tried changing the condition to be

Reorder Startswith Y

I have had to do this on some of my flows.

Thanks

Bradley

@Anonymous I gave it a go and it doesn't seem to have made a difference. It is still not triggering

@mr-samd if you've used a Yes/No column in the SharePoint list then in the condition try either is equal to true or is equal to 1

@mr-samd

What type of column is the reorder column?

If you are still having issues, you could just compare the current stock and reorder level.

'calculated column as it automatically changes depending on the stock level. I hope this helps...

Hi, one thing I do when testing flows is compose the output of key values.

Try composing the value of Re-order? right above the condition.

This way you can see exactly what that value is, then you can compare it depending on what the value actually is.

Specially since the condition doesn't display values in the run log.

The Compose Action is very helpful when building flows and troubleshooting.

It always helps when you see the values that are coming through.

@juresti I have put this in and it hasn't seemed to make a difference. sorry

Ok, great.

I did not realize your flow was not triggering at all previously.

The reason I suggested the compose is because I thought the condition was not being met.

With compose you would see actual the value coming through.
