How to send bounce back email when item is not created into SharePoint due to Name not entered corrected

G'day.

Currently building an inventory request SharePoint.

The request is via Forms.

I have created a flow:

Form Submission

Create new item in SharePoint

Send email on success of new item being added or modified.

But if the creator of the request in the form doesn't correctly key in the name of an employee as per Outlook for the SharePoint list it doesn't create a new item or notify anyone.

whats the best way of notifying the requester that its failed due to this?

Hi @thancock90 ,

Do you mean if the creator of the request in the form doesn't correctly key in the name of an employee, Create item action will fail?

If so, please try to refer to the following configuration and see if it helps.

1.PNG

Add multiple parallel branches to send an email notification. The branch on the right will only be executed if the Create item action fails. Check this blog and get more the usage about configure run after:

https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/error-handling/

Hope this helps.
