How to set additional fields when creating a VSTS bug?

I am using the Jira flow (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/jira/) to auto create bugs in VSTS.

We have a custom mandatory field: Found build that needs to be set when creating a bug in VSTS. How can this be specified in the Create a new work item action?

Hi @kglynn,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration?

Could you please show a bit more about the Found build custom field?

I have created a custom mandatory field called Found Build in my VSTS project and the details as below:14.JPG

When you add a "Create a work item" action within your flow, then click "Advanced options", the Found Build field (the custom mandatory field that you created) would be shown up as below:16.JPG

I have made a test on my side and please take a try with following workaround:17.JPG

Within Fould Build field (the custom mandatory field that you created) of "Create a work item" action, type proper dynamic content.

Note: The custom mandatory field that you created within your VSTS project could not be marked as a required field (marked with *) within "Create a work item" action.

The flow works successfully as below:18.JPG

Best regards,

Kris

Thanks Kris, yes you were right, it wasn't actually set to Required, thanks. So then how do you set custom fields that aren't required?
