How to use a Date Time Operation with Power BI Data?

I am using Power Automate to export Data from Power BI to a csv file via Compose & Create csv Table:

Lots of people seem to have problems with Time Zone differences in Power BI, however this is not the case here. I have datetime fields that are acquired from a BigQuery Database using DirectQuery, in UTC time zone, and Power BI also displays these values with no discrepancy between the Database and the Report:

TomN_Servian_2-1638766600562.png

However, when exporting out to csv using Power Automate, the Time Zone appears to be "accounted for", as the resulting csv has all of it's datetime fields adjusted by -10 hours. I am in Brisbane, Australia, so I suspect that Power Automate assumes the data is in UTC+10 format, and removes 10 hours to account for it. However, the data is not in UTC+10 format in the first place. This is particularly damaging as each entry is the first of each month, so it really throws off analysis and metrics done on monthly and annual perfomance, as each entry now corresponds to one month prior at 14:00:00:

I have tried both adjusting the Time Zone and adding 10 hours to the datetime fields. This does run successfully (and takes a long time), but I still cannot get the result into the csv. This is because the adjust date time operations only return the values of the datetime fields that it has operated on, not the complete dataset, and the Compose operation cannot use the "Apply To Each" output as its input:

The Compose operator can accept the Power BI Data as it's input, however this does not have the adjusted times, which is to be expected I suppose, because the Adjust date time operator is merely formatting the relevant data to a separate output, not changing the original output:

What is my best option for having Power Automate simply accept the data that it is given, or what is the smoothest and least time consuming flow to adjust this data? Like I say, the data displays correctly in the source database, and in all Power BI Reports. It's just once it goes through Power Automate. The Time Zone and add to time operators take way too long so I would sooner avoid those, but if they are the only solution, then how can I integrate them to use their outputs to overwrite the relevant columns in the csv?

Hi @Anonymous ,

There are Time function in flow, we can use it to transform data.

To add 10 hours to the target timestamp, we can use AddHours function, please try the following expression.

addHours(triggerBody()?['entity']?['Power BI values'], 10)

Best Regards,

Zhi Chen
