If else condition on file presence

Hello All,

I've made a flow that updates a certain column in a sharepoint document library (library A), and after X time (call this TimerX) it updates again to update that same column to null value. This part works fine.

However there is a different flow that kicks off if certain action is done in before TimerX is over, this other flow will take the file and put it in a different Library (Library A - > B). Now you probably start to understand where this is going.

I want to make a if/else situation based on wether the file is still in Library A or it is not anymore inside Library B so i can only have my flow update the column in libraryA to null if the file is still there.

I've looking into the 'run after' but im not sure this will enable me to make a branching decision point.

As mentioned it is working now however if the file is gone the flow will show as ''failed'' (however it did complete it's task) It would be more appealing if the flow history would be entirely green.

No, i settled on 'failed' being a positive outcome aswel. it's not worth putting too much time into creating workarounds for things that should be native.

Re: If else condition on file presence

Hello @gjeh

Did you resolve your issue?

Else I would suggest you to try and get the file again just after X time. You update file only runs if get file succeeded. Add a compose action after that runs only if your update file succeeded or was skipped, thus the action will always run and the flow will terminate normally.

Kind regards, John
