Inputting a date on Flow Mobile app

Hello everybody,

I have searched far and wide and can't figure this issue out.

I want to create a simple button for frontline managers to press from the Flow mobile app, in which they can put in employee vacation requests and have them updated to a central sharepoint list (which would be a calendar).

The issue lies in that I can'not seem to get a date picker as an option for a popup form on the Flow mobile app. I can choose text, file, or email... and it is inconvient to have to put in a date as text.

Does anybody have any ideas for this?

Re: Inputting a date on Flow Mobile app

Hi @ITguy,

I tried working with dates in a Flow button in the past and it is an inconvenience. However, you can try to create a PowerApps app for the managers to take care of this. Another suggestion is to submit it as an idea in the Flow Ideas forum below:

Re: Inputting a date on Flow Mobile app

Hi @ITguy,

The issue is confirmed on my side, getting a date picker as an option for a popup form on the Flow mobile app is not supported in Microsoft Flow currently, if you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow, please submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum:

Re: Inputting a date on Flow Mobile app

Fausto - you were 100% right on that one to use PowerApps instead of the flow button.

There is definetly more of a learning curve with PowerApps (it takes quite a bit of time to figure out via trial and error), but it is much more robust and user friendly than the simplistic flow button.

Thank you for the advice, I am I took your suggestion.

Re: Inputting a date on Flow Mobile app

Hi @ITguy,

Glad you are going with my suggestion. From my own experiences, the Flow button is great for something that requires minimal to no input from the user. Check out this blog post for a Flow button example where no user input is required. On the other hand, PowerApss has the advantage of being mobile and having inputs that the users can use to achieve any intended goal.
