Inserting an image into a Word template using the "Populate a Microsoft Word template" action works fine if the image is located inside the content section of the Word template.
If the image is located inside the header section of the Word template it is NOT working.
It has been suggested as an idea (https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Ideas/Allow-to-insert-an-image-into-the-header-of...) but it has to be a bug since text-controls within the header are replaced fine during the merge process.

Hello @TDorge
Have you tried the process using an actual Word template (dotx) instead of a Word document (docx)?
I am curious to whether or not that has any impact ๐
Kind regards, John
Hi John,
I created a .dotx file however it is not possible to select other file formats than .docx from the action "Populate a Microsoft Word template".
Best regards

Hello @TDorge
I just tried it myself - placed the path to a Word template (dotx) file in a variable. Added it to the Populate a Word template ... and it did not recognize the content containers in the document - gave me the dynamicFileSchema instead, which apparently noone knows about ๐
Renamed the Word template to docx, so it was still a template inside, added it to the step by navigating to the file. Now shows my two content containers - added the image object and ran the flow. Word file created, but failed to open in Word.
Renamed the Word file to dotx, open in Word, saw my image, but only in the body, not in the header.
Suggest you to post this as in the idea forum!
Kind regards, John
