Insert Row with dynamic path

I'm trying to create an excel file from a template (So I use copy file in Onedrive) and on the template I will insert a row

So my file name is: [Path]/[Name]

Unfortunately Excel can't determine the Tables of that excel file since it's dynamic. It says I can put Custom Value so I did so I put

Table1 (name of my table in excel)

Now I'm not sure how can I declare the columns of that table

Hi @franz-at-arbutu,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow’s configuration?

Do you format your excel data as a table?

If you don’t format your excel data as a table, I think you couldn’t insert rows into your excel file.

Besides, the “Insert row” action of Excel connector would insert rows into an existed file, so we couldn’t get dynamic columns of excel table if the excel file doesn’t exist. I have made a test on my side and the dynamic columns of excel file don't show up:3.JPG

Yes, the file name should be just PATH (the name is included already)

Ah I see, was hoping for a dynamic columns cause in my project the excel file can have different columns

Thanks anyway

In case you want to know the Table names, thre is a Get Tables action Block available in Excel Connector

Hope it helps

Unfortunately it will lead to the same problem, since the Excel does not support "Not yet existing file"

You can't get the rows of a file that does not exist yet

Maybe this workaround could help
