Here is an example URL I wish to check all items in the RSS feed: https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_dmd=1&_fosrp=1&_ftrt=901&_sop=12&_ftrv=1&_ipg=50&_from=R40&_saca...
Flow will work fine if I don't add in a Since Date.. unsure if its because of the date resulting in no feed items or if the parameters of the date is incorrect, even if it's a timezone issue with the feed.. Might be getting a false negative, but if it fails I don't want the flow to stop as I'm am checking multiple RSS feeds.
I wish to check new changes every minute, so I send the since date as 1 minute ago for new items:
Please try this expression instead in the since field (with your timezone of course).
thanks @mahoneypat that has seen me get progression to cease the errors, Thanks you! But now it seems to not be only processing rss feed items updated in the last minute since the last check.
For example. A publish date of 2021-11-18 02:33:39Z is always being processed for feed https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_udlo=0&_udhi=50&_ftrt=901&_ftrv=1&_sabdlo&_sabdhi&_samilow&_samihi&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_fosrp=1&_nkw=sega%20mega%20drive%20mini&LH_PrefLoc=1&_dcat=139971&rt=nc&_mPrRngCbx=1&_rss=1
Since date is 2021-11-18 01:57:01Z, so this is a feed item in the future?!?! 😲
Any ideas? thanks in advance.
I checked it again this morning with Eastern Standard Time and it worked to return 1 minute ago. In any case, you can use a larger negative number in the addMinutes (or use addHours) to dial in to the right time.
Ahh are you saying that I should change it the same timezone as the RSS feed? Instead of focusing on what my current timezone is? not sure what timezoe the feed is in...
Hi @mahoneypat i've been struggling with this one over the past few days.
I can set the time to be a minute ago, but I'm struggling to get it to line up with the same timezone of the RSS feed. It looks like pubDate in the RSS feed is set to MST timezone, but when I set it to this i still cant get the times to line up. Manually adding time (hours/minutes) seems to put it all out of what as well?
If i can just grab the expression that works, I'd be golden but its a real struggle. Let me know if you have it? Thanks in advance.
I tried a couple different things, and it seems to use the date component but not the time component. Have you been able to get just a subset of the current day? You could consider filtering the returned array based on time.
