Loop is not behaving correctly

Hello,

I have a flow which calls the api. The api is expected to give an array of length 1 or 0 as reponse.

- API call - Array lenght is 1

Loop Start (Condition of loop is Do untill Array Lenght is 0)

API call - Array Length could be 1 or 0;

If array gives 0 lenght. Loop ends otherwise it should run again.

Instead even though my variable is 1loop is not running second time. Sorry if the explaination was not clear. I am attaching some pics for reference.

Hi @zmansuri

If you click on the change limits of the Do Until action, there is a count and a timeout value that is set.

You can alter these values to best suit the usecase you are building. For example, if you are not sure of the max number of iterations, you can clear out the value from the count and save the flow. The do until action will by default time out in 1 hour irrespective of the number of iterations completed in the loop. You can also increase the time out on the do until action.

Hope This Helps!

as you can see the loop ran for 18 hours. At first the counter variable is 1 and loop ran but at the end even though variable is still 1. The loop did not ran

Hi @zmansuri

So flow ran for 1 iteration ?

@zmansuri

Can you please share some screenshots of the flow in edit mode from the Do Until action?

Seems to be strange, does the API part is taking more time than required ?

Hi @zmansuri

just to know, what is the control limit you have set for maximum timeout in Do until?

Also does is the flow inside is an approval flow ?

Can you open your Scope action for the last flow that ran (18 hours) and see which of the actions in there is taking so long? It should show the time/duration for each of your actions.

It looks like you're sending out an approval in there which means it would need to wait until that approval has been actioned. Is it taking that long due to the approval waiting perhaps?

One of the step is approval. So somtimes approver takes time to approve.

Previously this was the settings.
