Mail notification when new files are created - schedule periodically

Hello all,

I'd like to build a flow which is triggered when new files are created in an OneDrive folder, a user should receive a mail notification.

But instead of sending a mail for each file, is it possible to schedule that every 12h/or every time 10 new files have been created and send a list of the filenames in the mail?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi

Did you already have a look to the REcurrence trigger?

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/run-scheduled-tasks

This thread describes an scenario  similar to the one you are looking for

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Power-Automate/Create-Daily-Summary-of-Files-Uploaded-to...

Hope this helps

But how to to setup a trigger afterwards when a new file is being created in a specific OneDrive folder?

Hi again

Not sure I understood you requirements:

"instead of sending a mail for each file, is it possible to schedule that every 12h/or every time 10 new files have been created and send a list of the filenames in the mail"

I've found the following template for this purpose. Please note it is defined for OD4B, but there is a similar trigger available for One Drive

As @efialttes says you can easily use a recurrence trigger to start a workflow at a specific point (or points) in the day and check for files that were created within the last x number of hours. Store all those names or links in a variable using a loop and then send that out as an email.

There is no easy way to do this based on the number of files created, ie after 10 new files.
