Malformed ID in sharepoint flow

Hi,

I'm trying to make a flow that updates an outlook event when a corresponding event in sharepoint calendar is edited (I have a flow that creates the outlook event when it is created in sharepoint). The flow, however, keeps failing saying that the ID is malformed. If anyone could shed some light on how to fix, that would be great.

Cheers

Re: Malformed ID in sharepoint flow

This is my flow to create the event. The Id given, 'Task finder', is just a collum I made that consists of the project name followed by the task title, just to be sure each one was unique.

And this is the modify flow

Hi @Kilkent,

Thanks for the post. What is the data type for TaskFinder?

Re: Malformed ID in sharepoint flow

@abm It's a single line of text. I also atempted with a number column that had been indexed but got the same result.

Re: Malformed ID in sharepoint flow

Hi @Kilkent,

I tested with a text field and no errors occurred. Try hardcode a name called 'Test' and see if that works or not.

Thanks

Re: Malformed ID in sharepoint flow

Sorry @abm, can you please explain in a bit more detail? What would you like me to name Test? I'm quite the novice 😕

Thanks for all your help

Re: Malformed ID in sharepoint flow

Hi @Kilkent,

Remove the TaskFinder mapping and replace with any string value called 'Test'. Want to rule out if that mapping field having any issues or not.

Thanks

Re: Malformed ID in sharepoint flow

I tried a hardcode Id but still no luck unfortunately. I found a couple of other threads with the same error and it sounds like it's an internal error. Thanks for all your help @abm
