Microsoft Forms to Sharepoint List Assigned to

Hi,

I've got a flow that runs when a response is submitted in Forms, it creates an item in a Sharepoint list.

I'd like it (if it's possible) that the sharepoint list "Assigned to" gets assigned based on the "Site" selected in the form.

EG if the form has X site selected, then assign to User A in the sharepoint list

Thanks

Hello,

As a alternative to the above great solution, you could manage this inside the flow.

-Create a variable called AssignedTo.

-Insert the AssignedTo Variable into your Create item action.

above the Create Item action, add a "Switch" Action and add all the possible sites. Under each branch, populate the correct address for each required assignee in the variable AssignedTo

Hi @karldenton ,

Try following:

1.) make a lookup list with two columns. 1 column would be SiteName, 2nd column is assigned two.

2.) for each of your sites in question, complete the relationship mapping.

In your flow,

do a Get Items action.

In the odata filter: SiteName eq 'NameOfSite'

Then you can access the assigned name and id of the assigned person in your subsequent flow actions.

If this resolves your issue, don't forget to mark it as answered.

Re: Microsoft Forms to Sharepoint List Assigned to

Whether you should do this in flow depends on a couple of things:

1.) how many sites are there?  If the list is static and will not change, and is a low number < less than a handfull.

2.) if there is a large number, or you think that the sites list will grow, it's always best to use a list for this so that the business can just add items to the list and administrators don't have to republish flows when a change is needed.
