Hi @TetraAsh

You could do the following:

1) Add both conditions in a single if conditon.

2) Use ISO 8601 to specify dates:.

Hope that helps!

Hi @TetraAsh

I don't understand what you mean saying "It runs forever". As I see in the screenshot, the apply to each action is executed 3 times (I guess there're 3 tasks), meaning there're 3 tasks where duedate is greater than today.

Could you provide more detail on the problem and desired output?
Best,

Ferran

Hi thanks for the speedy reply

I have three tasks but the due dates are last Friday, yesterday and today

Three tasks should take the system seconds to complete, but if i look at the flow list, and the screenshot I sent, its been running for 8 mins and still going (i did finally cancel it)

So its stuck not doing anything

i also dont get any of the emails. and it should email for true or false

In summary, the final outcome, the user has an application that sync's to todo, they want an email sent on the first day an item is overdue, they want another send a day later, then on the third day, they want the user and their team leader and the 7th day the user, team leader and department manager.

With that i mind, this is supposed to be the first building blocks of such a flow, but, so far, no luck in getting the 'greater than' to work on the due dates.

hope this helps

Hi @TetraAsh

I did a test on my side with the following flow:

duedate.png

1) First I check DueDate value exists (is not null)

2) Second, I check that DueDate is less than utcNow().

3) If it's true, I used a compose action for test purposes.

I have 10 tasks, with 2 of them with a DueDate less than today, and the workflow took 5 seconds to complete.

Another hint -> You're using the "send a notification" action that might cause the delay (could you remove that or replace it by another action?).

Hope that helps!

Ferran

Hi thanks again for assisting

getting a new error now on save - Flow save failed with code 'InvalidTemplate' and message 'The template validation failed: 'The repetition action(s) 'Apply_to_each' referenced by 'inputs' in action 'Condition_2' are not defined in the template.'.'.

I'm guessing that the entry - items('Apply_to_each')?['DueDateTime'] - is supposed to have something before it? but i couldnt read on the image.

thoughts?

OK, fixed that last error when i noticed it was 'loop name' on the items entry, i had the wrong name, it saved and runs and still gets stuck doing nothing on 'Apply to Each 3' loop

Please, try removing the "send an email notification" action and test without it.
