Missing Dynamic Content in Microsoft Forms

I'm building a flow from a using a Microsoft Form: when a new response is submitted trigger, something I've done on a couple other occasions. The action is to send an email, but today no matter which existing form I choose the only dynamic content I have access to is the Response Id. In my previous flows any response on the form appeared as a viable content item, but today nothing? I'm not sure what's changed or if this is a trmporary bug, but it's not the behavior I'm used to. The problem is occuring for me in both the Chrome and Edge browser, and occurs whether I choose my newly created form, or a form which I've successfully used in the past to create flows with the appropriate dynamic content.

I just noticed this as well then realized that they've added a new action for Microsoft Forms. Basically, you'll need to add the action "Get Response Details" after your trigger event.

Hi bbrown,

Thanks for feedback.

It seems that I am getting the same issue. Not sure if there are any updates on MicrosoftForms, I will help confirm it on my side and back to you later.

I'm having the same problem. No Dynanmic Content is populating when I try to modify a current flow to add row to SmartSheet, add row to SharePort, build a new flow that would create a new row from scratch or using a template.

I first noticed the issue on Thursday 10/5/17 when i tried to update a current flow. The flow still runs and populates SmartSheet but I cannot modify. The Form has not been changed.

Eureka! I don't get why they did this as the action seems to be required for any real use cases, and I don't see any documentation of the change, but it looks like that is in fact thenew step that is needed.

No documentation?

No changelog anywhere?

Why not?

Or.....is there....?

I have the same problem.  Cannot use Forms and Flow since I can't get any details from the action even using the "get the form details". Definitly a show stopper bug 😞

I have a flow - using the available template - to add a row to a SharePoint list each time there is a new response to a Forms survey.  For most of the fields, the dynamic content is available - but for the fields whose data comes from a Five-point rating question in Forms, no dynamic content shows up.  Only thing for those fields is the "response ID" option, which accomplishes nothing.

How does one get dynamic content for the numeric rating questions?  The flow is useless without this.

Thanks!

I've run into this issue with a few fields and seem to have found a workaround. If you switch to Expressions and select one (I use concatenate) it should let you insert the normal dynamic content in the expression. Hope this helps!

Guys,

I must be missing something as when i do this i do not get to see the full list of Dynamic conetent in my form. I have a bout 10 questions i had been able to access previously which is now limited to response ID. Any help appreciated.

Are you sure you have 'Apply to each' after 'when an new response is submitted' in the flow?

See hereunder the correct format in  flow.

thanks for the reply. Yes i do. its tsrange becuase it worked for the first day or so but now it doesnt. Seems like it has created some sort of repsonse code or someothing that i need to be able to access the dynamic content of the questions.

Probably a problem with the flow itself.

Try to build a new flow from scratch with the same form, see if that's gonna work.

I did that a couple of times and worked for me.

succes

tried that a few times  but no joy.

Same issue.

Is it a chrome browser issue?

Same issue for reading SQL - Execute stored procedure for "Data Operations - Select" - it doesn't see the results from the procedure

I have built a flow for getting rows from Excel and creating separate emails in Outlook. My excel table had hyperlinks in the table, which I then removed (converted table back to normal) and then saved it as a table again. The dynamic content was not recognising the table because of the hyperlinks. It seems that flow is very dependent on EVERYTHING being perfect. That is why I try to ensure that if there are any issues with my content in excel, I make sure it's right prior to saving the content as a table. This way Flow will have no reason not to work properly. Hope this helps someone.

@AnonymousI am having the same problem with Executing a Stored Procedure and then trying to use the Select Data Operation. Did you find a solution to this?

As mentioned, Flow needs everything to be perfect prior to selecting dynamic content. Copy and paste all of your excel data as 'values' so there are no formulas, hyperlinks etc (if you save the file as a CSV this also strips all of the formatting). Let me know if this works for you. Maybe also, delete your cache and login to Flow after you have fixed your Excel data. Cheers, Tarin

I am having a similar issue. In Power Automate some of my questions that were built in Forms appear, but not all are available as dynamic content - only a few. It seems to be the branching questions that did not show up.

Searching for the missing questions does not retrieve any additional fields.

Does anyone have any ideas for a solution?
