Monthly Email for SP List items that have a blank Date Field

Ok, we have a SharePoint list with the following colums:

Seller ID (Text Field) - We can have many rows with same Seller ID used many time.

Description (Text Field)

Date Reported (Date Field) - Left blank when row is created by the user to be later populated by MS Flow)

Email Address (Type - Text Field)

During the month items are added to the list.

What I wish to do is once a month, loop through the list and send a single email to the "email address" for all records that have the same Seller ID's and a blank "Date Reported" field.

Then populate the Date Reported field with date sent.

Thanks Everyone.

Hi @RCJack67 ,

Could you provide more details about the relationship between Seller ID and Email Address field?

Does the item containing the same Seller ID have the same Email Address? If so, you could refer to the following method to configure Flow.

  • Initialize variables to store all Seller IDs, and use union() function to remove duplicate Seller IDs.
  • Iterate through Seller IDs and use Get items action again to filter out the eligible items.
  • Use Condition to determine if there are eligible items, and if so, send an email.

Hope it helps.

Yes, like seller id's will always have the same email address populated. Thanks, let me give this a shot today.

I keep getting an error at the 'union' step. Can you elaborate on that fx like you did on the length condition? Thanks

Hi @RCJack67 ,

Please use this expression:

union(variables('Seller ID'),variables('Seller ID'))
