Move a list item to an 'archive' when a new item is submitted with the same name

Hello,

I am new to Flows. I've been trying to figure out how to create a flow to move an existing List item to a different List/Location when a new List Item with the same name is added. The idea is that we're only keeping 'Fresh' items in a specific location, and to ideally archive 'Old' items.

Is something like this possible?

Thanks!

Re: Move a list item to an 'archive' when a new item is submitted with the same name

Hi @poma,

It is possible, please refer to the following steps I create for explanation:

  • When an item is created in List 1, the list 1 is the 'refresh' list:
  • Then Get items which name (my side is Ename) is equals to new created name:

Then loop through the return items, if the ID equals to new create item's one, no need to do anything. If not, create a new item in the list 2 - 'archive' list:

Then, delete the old item in the list A according to the ID:
