Hi,
We recieve files every day into a sharepoint folder. New files are added throughout the day to this folder, sometimes multiple files are added at the same time.
The names of the files are a combination of text and numbers. (eg. 190832_Pending ; HLDX_20165448987). The numerical component will change every day, but the text component will never change.
We want to create a flow where we will pick up the file from the sharepoint folder and move it into a separate sharepoint folder based on the text component in its name.
Any ideas on how to do this?
Thanks
HI @Rupert1
We could use Regular Expressions to achieve this. To do this, Power Automation has a component called "Plumsail" that can help with this.
To be able to use, you need an API key that you can get here:
https://plumsail.com/docs/documents/v1.x/getting-started/sign-up.html#generate-api-key
Then connect it and use it like this:
You'll get something like this:
Then you can define your expression so that you can parse after the files.
Is this what you need? If not, please let me know, and we'll try to figure this out together.

sorry - i had thought i had replied to this a few weeks ago.
i am nervous using a third party application as I don't want to give a third party system access to our infrastructure and data.
is there any way to do this directly within PowerAutomate without needing to integrate into Plumtree?
Hi @Rupert1 ,
The answer is not.
