Multiply response in MS Forms by value in sharepoint list

Hello automate experts!

I have a survey in Microsoft Forms and a flow connected such that when a new response is submitted, a new row is added to a sharepoint list. These answers are all worded and converted into numeric values during the 'create item' action of my flow using if statements.

However some questions are weighted differently to others. These weights per question are stored in a different sharepoint list in the same sharepoint site.

I was wondering is there a way to multiply the numeric forms response by the weight value corresponding to that question.

The weight sharepoint list looks like this

Ideally I want to do something like this with the MS Forms response in the 'create item' action of my flow:

  • 1.1:   if(equals(1.1,'yes'),6, if(equals(1.1,'no'),3,0)) * 2
  • 1.2:   if(equals(1.2,'yes'),6, if(equals(1.2,'no'),3,0)) * 3

The highlighted numbers above correspond to the weight from the weight table.

e.g. If the user answered 'yes' for question 1.1, then a score of 12 would be pushed to column 1.1 of the response sharepoint list.

The response sharepoint list would then look something like this

Is there a way to do this?

Thank you in advance!

Hi @Anonymous

Can't you use an IF condition to check whether 1.1 response is Yes or No? If you want to multiple two values in PowerAutomate you can use mul() expression.
