My flow fails when using "contains" to determine if a character exist in a "single line" list item

Hi folks,

 i'm building a simple flow, that is looking for the existance of the string "Yes" (without the ") in a column in a list. The column is a single line text column. Which ever way I do, the flow yields an error - the condition is as below

@not(contains(triggerBody()?['RMAapproveEmail'], 'Yes'))

So, basically, I am looking into the item which triggers the flow, where the list item "RMAapproveEmail" is being queried. If this field does not contain "Yes", the flow takes off. However, each time, this flow fails at this point, and the message I get is that the "supplied value" is Null. And, this is not correct - I am supplying "Yes" to the query. Why is this failing?

Thanks in advance.

Re: My flow fails when using "contains" to determine if a character exist in a "singl

Hi @Engstedt,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration?

Further, could you please show a bit more about your SharePoint list?

I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned. My flow's configuration as below:11.JPG

Within Condition, click "Edit in advanced mode", type the following formula:

@not(contains(triggerBody()?['RMAapproveEmail'], 'Yes'))

The flow works successfully as below:12.JPG

I think the formula that you provided is correct, please check if there is something wrong with the formula that you provided within Condition box.

In addition, please consider take a try to re-create your flow and check if the issue is solved.

Best regards,
