NEW List Item > Create Folder > Copy Files (templates) from other folder

Hi,

I have set up a flow to create a new folder when a list item is created.

I would like to transfer a template from another folder into this new folder?

Is this possible?

e.g. List item "123456" created > new folder "123456" created > copy files from "Templates" to folder "123456".

thank you

Re: NEW List Item > Create Folder > Copy Files (templates) from other folder

Hi @Anonymous,

Based on what I know, there is no Create Folder action available under SharePoint connector.

If you are using the workaround to generate the folder, then I am afraid the copy file will not work for the folder being generated.

You may consider create another flow to copy the file.

There is an idea submitted for SharePoint Create Folder:

Sharepoint Create Folder

Please vote it up if you found it helpful.

Re: NEW List Item > Create Folder > Copy Files (templates) from other folder

Hi @v-micsh-msft,

I can create the folder - that isn't the issue.

I cannot transfer files from one SharePoint folder to another.

Hi @Anonymous,

Consider to use the Create File Action instead of the copy file Action.

Re: NEW List Item > Create Folder > Copy Files (templates) from other folder

@v-micsh-msft

This isn't a solution that worked - can you provide the walkthrough?

I've had to load the files into a zip folder and extract them to the required location.

Again the above IS NOT a solution!
