Need ability to swap the trigger for an existing flow to another trigger type with the same dataset

It would be really helpful to be able to change the trigger on an existing flow, rather than having to create a new flow. This would help in situations where you want to use a very similar flow as a template for a new flow that uses a different trigger.

For Instance if you have created a flow based on a new item created in a list as the trigger and then you want to create a flow using on an item updated in that same list as the trigger.

Re: Need ability to change the trigger for an existing flow

Hi @bkeable,

Changing the trigger (Under edit View) is possible under Microsoft Flow. This is also available for the other actions added in Flow.

Note that You can't delete an action if you're using any outputs from it anywhere in the flow. First, remove those outputs from the fields, and then you can delete the action.

Reference:

Add multiple actions and advanced options to a flow

Check the Recorder or delete an action part.

Regards,

Michael
