Onedrive new file trigger repeats several times.

I have a flow to keep track of the files added to a onedrive folder. It gets the file name and other information and stores it in an excel file in Onedrive and send an email with the link.

The problem is that once the file is stored in onedrive two or three emails are send and the same number of equal rows are added to the excell file.

Could anyone give me any idea about what is happening?

Re: Onedrive new file trigger repeats several times.

Hi @fllanes,

Which trigger of OneDrive connector do you use within your flow?

Could you please show a bit more about your flow's configuration (Translate into english description)?

I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned. My flow's configuration as below:5.JPG

The flow works successfully as below:6.JPG

Please check if have upload multiple same files into your OneDrive folder once time.

In addition, please check if you have created another flow to copy same file or rename the file in the the folder when a new file is created in a OneDrive folder. You could upload a new file into your OneDrive folder and then check if the name of the file has been changed.

You could also take a try to re-create your flow based on above solution that I provided or re-choose a OneDrive folder directory within the trigger of your flow, then check if the issue is solved.

Re: Onedrive new file trigger repeats several times.

Thank you for your answer.

In my case OneDrive is launching the flow twice and I think it is due to the "Create shared link" step. If I remove this step from the flow it only generates one row in the excel file and one email. In my case it is important to store and send the link to the document in the email so that the user can review easily.

Is it possible to distinguish between a link and a real document?, the information I see is exactly the same.

Are there another ways to get the document link without resorting to "Create shared link" action?

Thank you
