Planner Notes column not showing in flow to create new task

Hi all,

I created a flow that creates a new planner task from a task list in SharePoint. Ideally I would like to add a link from the Planner task back to the SharePoint list.

The 'Link to Item' is available in the Dynamic expression, but the create a task does not show the Planner Notes column so I dont have anywhere to add it. 

I think at the flow was based on a template and see some flows have a create a task followed by an update a task but I dont seem to be able to get any planner containers that show the notes.

@ChristianAbata thanks for the reply, Id already played with that, but am not sure how to use it, the References do not seem to match up with any Planner items (Im sure there is away but cant see how).

Could you help with how they should be used please ?

Cancel my last, I looked at a template that has a link to doc and made mine look the same, seems to have worked.

Please note, this solution no longer works. Planner has updated its "Update a task" flow and it no longer has a "Description" entry to update. Instead, on Planner, "Description" has been renamed to "Notes" and "Notes" are not an entry that you can modify in an "Update a task" flow.

Hi,

So there is no option to add a note to a new task? Only a Title? 
This seems a basic functionality to make the logic work in Power Automate. 

Even adding a comment to an existing task is no option. 

So I don't believe this topic is 'solved'. 
Especially if you see that this topic has 7000 views. That means a lot of people are looking for a solution to add notes to a automated created task in Planner.

The Planner Notes is actually the description of the task.  Whatever you put in here will show up under Notes - tested and confirmed on my end.

Make sure you are picking "Update Plan Details", not "Update Plan".

Where do I get the Task ID from when it was just created one step before?

I had the same issue mate - click custom then use dynamic fields - ID is the one you want.
