Populate MS Word Template

Hi,

We are trying to populate a MS word template by passing data from PowerApps to Flow and then finally onto template.

When the template is generated and forwarded via email the end user who is opening the document is not able to edit the content/text placed inside the content control.

We have already disabled the checkbox "Content Cannot be Edited" in MS Content control properties.

Any help would be muh appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Populate MS Word Template

Hey @sumitmukund

That is expected functionality. You will not be able to edit the already populated value. The already populated value will completedly be removed and then you can edit with your inputs. For example: If there is  a name field and the populated template has John in it then you cannot edit John as Jon or Jhon. The entire text John will be removed and then you can add whatever you want there.

Hope this Helps!

Re: Populate MS Word Template

Hey @sumitmukund

I just replicated the template flow in my environment and it works as expected. The document sent in an email will be downloaded in read only mode and can be enabled for editing. Can you check the properties of the content control on the field in the word template as:

Hope this Helps!

Hey @yashag2255

Thanks a lot for your reply. Below is the snapshot of the content control properties.

After downloading the word template even if we are trying to edit it it does not allow. When we do a Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V over the same field then we are able to modify the content.
