Power Automate for Sharepoint Read user

Hello,

is it possible to have a flow button for read-only (visitors) user in a Sharepoint Online ?

If not, what are the alternative ? I want the user to ask for permission to edit a file since he is in read-only mode.

thanks,

Re: Power Auomate for Sharepoint Read user

Hi @epilot ,

Not sure I understood what you trying to achieve via Power Automate? Looks like you have some custom permission issues to implement in SharePoint for certain users. If it's related to SharePoint security then its better to post in Microsoft SharePoint forum. If not could you please explain in detail about your requirement?

Thanks

Re: Power Auomate for Sharepoint Read user

Sorry for being unclear,
So I have a SharePoint site for users and they have the basic read rights there.
For my flow it use the on selected sharepoint item. But the flow can only be started by a member or owner of the site.
Question is, can a visitor (with read rights) can start a flow?
Thanks!

Hi @epilot

Thanks for your reply.

Ok understood. If you want other guest users who are out of your Organization to access the flow that you created, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Microsoft Power Automate currently.

Thanks
