Prevent a flow to run untill an update in a file is fully completed

Hi all,

I have created a flow that makes a copy of a working file in sharepoint when the working file is updated.

the trigger file is updated by another software overwriting sheets of this file as soon as the process is completed.

The flow seems to work fine, the issue that I have found is that the update of all the files is not done at the same time, some sheets are updated previuous to others, to prevent the copy to be uncompleted I have added a delay of 10 minutes to the flow to ensure that all the sheets are updated previuous to be copied.  The point is that the flow is triggered 2 times, once per sheet updated.

The desired behaviour is to ensure that the flow is only triggered one time.

Do you think is there any way to achieve this ?

best regards

Jorge

@Jor_ma

I don't believe that you'll be able to accomplish your goal with your current Flow.

Is there a way that you can tell when the other app is done updating the file?

Hi @ScottShearer , I too think it is difficult to achieve.

It is not possible to obtain information on when the process is finished in the other application.

How about limiting the number of times the flow can be activated in an hour, for example? the delay is solving the issue of having the completed file before the copy.

Do you think this is possible?
