Hello guys. Can you help me understand what is happening please?
The situation is as follows:
I would like to start the flow (trigger) only when the column "CSAT Status" (A Choice Column of an SP List) is modified.
My solution: Use the SharePoint connector 'When an item or a file is modified', and in Settings, configure the Trigger Conditions with an OR function.
Problem:
It doesn't work correctly when I try to use more than two OR conditions. When I put the third, fourth...fifth condition, the trigger is fired when any information is updated in any column. With two conditions inside the OR it respects everything correctly, it is only executed with the specific statuses, inside the specific column. From the third, it no longer respects anything.
Example:
👉This is how it works (only 2 conditions):
@OR(equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Status_x0020_CSAT/value'],'Payment Submitted (CNAB)'),equals(triggerOutputs()? 'body/Status_x0020_CSAT/value'],'Awaiting Price Adjustment'))
👉As I need, and that doesn't work (Five Conditions):
@OR(equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Status_x0020_CSAT/value'],'Payment Submitted (CNAB)'),equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Status_x0020_CSAT/value'],'Awaiting Price Adjustment' ),equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Status_x0020_CSAT/value'],'Awaiting Shipment'),equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Status_x0020_CSAT/value'],'In transit'),equals(triggerOutputs( )?['body/Status_x0020_CSAT/value'],'Done'))
Another option that I tried, and that didn't work either (I tried put OR inside OR, to have "only" two conditions, but the problem keeps the same):
Thanks in advance guys for all the help and attention.
Best Regars,
VA

Hi @valmeidapit,
In the Since field I was calculating with an expression what the last major version was:
add(int(triggerOutputs()?['body/{VersionNumber}']),-1)
The compose was just there for a test. I would actually suggest to use a Condition to check if the column has changed value is equal to true.
Hi @valmeidapit,
Can you try the multiple ors in an expression like below?
@or(or(or(or(equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Status_x0020_CSAT/value'], 'Payment Submitted (CNAB)'), equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Status_x0020_CSAT/value'], 'Awaiting Price Adjustment')), equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Status_x0020_CSAT/value'], 'Awaiting Shipment')), equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Status_x0020_CSAT/value'], 'In transit')), equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Status_x0020_CSAT/value'], 'Done'))
Hi @Expiscornovus ,
First, thank you very much for your attention.
I just tried with this expression and unfortunately it didn't work, the result was the same. The trigger is not respecting the condition of the modification being made exclusively in the column "CSAT Status". I made a modification to any column other than the one I wanted and it was triggered.
Hi @valmeidapit,
Sorry, I misunderstood your requirement. The trigger condition only checks what the current value of the field is.
If you want to check which field has changed, what the old value was and what it changed into you would need to use the version history of an item/file and the get changes action instead.
Hi @Expiscornovus .
So, why when we use only 2 conditions works?
The problem until where I understand is that I'm trying to use more than 2 conditions inside of the OR Function.
This example works very well: @or(equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Status_x0020_CSAT/value'],'Payment Submitted (CNAB)'),equals(triggerOutputs()? 'body/Status_x0020_CSAT/value'],'Awaiting Price Adjustment'))
Thanks more one time,
VA
Hi @valmeidapit,
Trigger conditions just check if something is true or false. It does not look if a certain column value has been changed.
So, in the sample item below if you only change the Description field value it will still trigger the flow.
Even though you are only changing the description column. The trigger condition will return true because the CSAT Status column has a value which still meets the criteria of your trigger condition.
Hopefully that makes a bit more sense?
If you want to know which column has changed since the last version of the item you can use the Get changes for an item or a file (properties only) action.
Hello @Expiscornovus .
I got it now. Thank you very much, I didn't realize it because a have a lot of other status. Now I tested what you explained to me, and you are right. What let me still more lost, lol.
I don't know how to reproduce your idea.
Can you give me more details, please?
For example,
What's the full expression inside in the Since field?
How many "Compose" do I need? Just one with the Has Column Changed, or two as the image, and if yes...what did I put in the second Compose?
Thanks.

@Expiscornovus Hi. How are you doing?
I'm doing the tests right now, I'll try to observe all day, So far, I'm hopeful. I will return with the final results as soon as possible.
Thank you very much, and see you soon.

Hello @Expiscornovus .
Sorry for the late to return, I was testing and facing some problems because I forgot to say that 2 status were specific to new creations, so I had some problems, that was difficulting with my tests.
But your solution worked very well with the rest of the flow.
So I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you and thank you too for taking the time and willingness to explain to me where I was not understanding.
Thank you.
