Push list items to other list (subsites)

Hi,

Im trying to copy list items to other subsites. I have a list which is filled on a site A like this.

HolidayList.png

Those items need to be copied to all other subsites which have the same lists on them. I want to use a list on the root that contains the url of all the subsites like example below:

HolidayList url.png

So the holidays need to copied to all of the sites that are on the list and when add a new site to the list. I'll hope someone can help me i don't where to start because i don't know that much about power automate. Me first thought was the get the list items of the from site a.

But then im stuck.

Any help is welcome

Is it going to be one time copy or periodic or when a new holiday is added? Holiday data does not change periodically. You will have to run a loop on URL List, Use delete Items to delete all the items and then create new items again using source list. First design entire workflow by using 1 hardcoded SITE URL and then change them to use dynamic URLs from first list and dynamic List Name.

Power Automate Community

Dear PrasadAthalye,

The copy of the list must happen every year. So if i change the list on the root it must copy that to the rest of the subsites.

Im following your example the only last 3 steps i can't get it. Can you share those with me ?

Many thanks for the help 🙂

In the last 3 steps, I am...

  • Deleting all the data in existing list as given in the 2nd screen shot. This is inside Apply to each.
  • Then getting all holidays from the main root list.
  • Then looping through the list and creating holidays in subsite lists...

Hello,

I'm not getting it. This is what i have:

Telefonie.png

But what do i need to do inside the apply to each site ? Can you help me with some screenshots ?

That was for deleting existing records. After Get Items, you can add delete item action and map it to id property from the Get Items. It will put loop around it.

Then you use Get Items from main list of holidays. And then add Create Item action to create new Holiday item in the site that you are looping.

I'll will thank you for your help. This is the way my flow looks:

Picture overall flow:

Overall flowOverall flow

Step 1 of the flow:

Step 1Step 1

Step 2:

Step 2Step 2

Step 3 of the flow (loop):

Step 3Step 3

Step 3.1

Step 4Step 4

Step 3.2

Step 6.png

I'll hope i get it right 🙂

When i test my flow i get the following error:

SharePoint Site Address 'test' is not valid
clientRequestId: a4625ae8-819e-4758-a2f6-3de814273393

This item i just made on the following site:

https://univeservices.sharepoint.com/sites/A365/nn/ucc_nn_ivr/Lists/Holidays

This is the mainlist.

Inside the loop "Apply to each item in Holiday List and Delete" the delete item function doesn't work because it looks for the ID nummer of the Holiday which is different on every site.

Is there another way to do this ? Or what is the thing i'll doing wrong.

I can't select the ID of the Get items in the loop "Apply to each Site and Delete List Data"
