Hi,
I used Recurrence > Get file metadata > Copy file to save a monthly copy of a spreadsheet. It works well, except there is no option to rename the file. I need to rename the file or else the flow won't work because there is already a file in the folder with the same name. I'd like to automatically rename the file to the current month and year if possible.
Is there any way to do this? Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

Hi @Anonymous
Please see my examply below. I am using a button vs a recurrence trigger, but that doesn't impact the concept. Also, I am copying to another library - just specify your library and folder.
I am renaming the file during the copy. I am also assuming that this will happen only once during any given month. If it could be more than once a month, I would change the date format to include a day.
I successfully ran the Flow pictured below.
If this meets your needs, please mark your question as Solved.
If not, please explain and I will make adjustments.

It worked! Thank you
This method doesn't work with the new, non-deprecated "Copy File" action, which of course has worse functionality than the action it is supposed to replace.
Is there any solution for the new "Copy File" action that isn't deprecated?
The new Copy File is a downgrade from the previous, why has Microsoft removed the ability to rename a file? UGH!
