I have a flow where an email is sent with an attachment once a form response is submitted.
The flow is working fine however when the email arrives, the attachment name is a sting of symbols etc. whereas I'd like it to be a simple file name as it will be sent external to our organisation\
I have attached screenshots of what the file name looks like when the email is received & the flow, any help would be appreciated!
Hello @PaulaMcC ,
you shouldn't use 'File Content' as the attachment name, that's why it contains the strange characters. Try to use 'File Name' or something like that.
It is an option, but when you use 'File content' it'll show the whole file content in the file name and it'll look as it does in your email.
Search for something like 'Attachment name' or any other '... name' or define your own file name.
I've attached a screenshot of my flow & the options I have. I'm assuming I need to use a different action to "Get File Content" but everything I've tried to use instead points me to a SharePoint list whereas I just want to attach a standard PDF which is saved in a folder of a SharePoint Group.
You might need another action: 'Get file properties' to get the file name.
