Replicating items in SharePoint Lists (without listing all columns)

We have a list named "Records" and another one with the exact same definition named "Archived Records". A Power Automate flow runs every night and finds the Records items eligible for archiving (i.e., to be moved to "Archived Records"). The logic is

(a) Get archiving-eligible items and for each

(b) get item from "Records"

(c) create (replica) item in "Archived Records"

(d) delete original item from "Records"

In (c), the "Create item" action forces us to specify the value of each individual column of the list, values obtained from (b).
If it happens that a new column is added to both "Records" and "Archived Records", we are obliged to modify the Power Automate flow to include that new column if we want to keep the logic.

Is there a way to create an item based on data obtained from get item action, without the need to list all values?

Hi @phuba ,

It is possible to do this using sharepoint rest api. But it is not as simple as the 'create an item' action.

_api/web/lists/GetByTitle('your list name')/items()

Thanks @v-xiaochen-msft, REST API calls would be fine for me.

However, it does not solve the issue - our objective is to minimize maintenance.

if a column is added (to both "Records" and "Archived Records) we would have to modify the Power Automate flow anyway. Therefore, REST API calls or "Get item" / "Create item" actions, make no difference - in both cases, the PA flow would have to be update which we would like to avoid.

Hi @phuba ,

Unfortunately this is impossible.
