Hi everyone,
I was wondering whether it is possible in an approval flow to have the person who needs to approve, aprove, reject or ask for edits AND add an attachment to their reply. For example I ask my boss (using a flow) to approve of a certain file (file is attached in approval flow) and then the boss can choose to say accept with edits and attach his/her edits to the file (so not just comments).
My final goal is that the boss puts data from the file (excel file) into a word template and attaches this to his approval flow, so the template is filled out by the boss.
Thanks in advance for the help and suggestions!
Best regards,
Laura

Hey@Anonymous
I don't believe this can be done... you can attach files to the approval request but not the response.
You could store the files in SharePoint and instruct the approver to update the file and the approve or reject? This has the benefit of centrally storing documents and assuring all versions, edits are captured.
Depending on your requirements;
You could use the Excel connector to obtain the rows in the spreadsheet and the Word connector to populate a template... this would negate your approver needing to create the word document manually.

Thank you for the info!
Unfortunately I won't be able to fully automate the excel to word population, as I cannot use dynamic data to retrieve row.
As I want to do this for each new file, and this only works if I already choose upfront before creating a new file, which excel file I want to extract a row from.
