SOLVED - Expression Keyword - How do I find the keyword to use in this expression?

Hello,

Disregard this post - I can't find where to delete posts - I found a different way to do the same thing although I am very grateful to learn about expressions 🙂

I saw the general idea of how to use expressions and use variables within flow in this post: How to capture all responses from user @v-xida-msft

Here is an expression from that post:

concat('ApproverName: ',item()?['responder']?['displayName'],' ResponseDate: ',item()?['responseDate'],' Comment: ',item()?['comments'],'</br>',variables('AllResponses'))

How did this person get the correct "keywords" for each item? Is there a site somewhere that lists these? For example, the output for ApproveName is "responder" and the output for Comment is "comments".

I need the keyword for Approvers Response (like Reject/Approve). I tried:

' Response: ',item()?['responses'],

AND

' Response: ',item()?['response'],

And neither worked?

Here is the entire expression as I am using it...

concat('ApproverName: ',item()?['responder']?['displayName'],' ResponseDate: ',item()?['responseDate'], ' Response: ',item()?['responses'], ' Comment: ',item()?['comments'],'</br>',variables('AllResponses'))

Please help 🙂

Thank you!

Hi @beginAgain,

Do you want to know how person get the correct "keywords" for each column?

You could add a Compose action in the flow, and choose to insert the dynamic content of the column in the Compose field, the you could copy the dynamic content of the column in the Compose and paste it some where to know the expression of the column.

Capture.PNG

And the expression of Approver name as below:

items('Apply_to_each')?['responder']?['displayName']

Capture.PNG

The expression response as below:

body('Start_an_approval')?['response']

Please let me know if you could learn from it.

Best regards,

Alice
