Send Approval to Manager using flow

So I have a Sharepoint calendar shared out to our whole company and I'm trying to create a flow that will trigger when an employee creates an appiontment on that calendar to take some time off. When created, it grabs their manager and sends an approval email to them. The manager then approves it which causes the item on the calendar to be updated as well as CC'ing payroll a copy of the approval email for records. Denying the request will send an email back to the person saying they cant take PTO at this time, and it removes the calendar appointment automatically. The problem I'm having right now is the approval flow is going to the person that created the item. It looks like the "Get Manager" function is working properly. I'm thinking I need to add the manager to the "Assigned To" section, but it doesnt allow me to do that. What am I missing here?

Re: Send Approval to Manager using flow

Hi @cseaton,

If you want to send the approval for manager to approval, you could enter the "Mail" dynamic content of the Get manager action in the "Assigned to" field of Start an approval action as below:

Re: Send Approval to Manager using flow

What am I doing wrong if that's not an option that I can get to populate in the dynamic content window?
