Send an email to an email address found in a lookup column from a SharePoint list

I have a Lookup column in a SharePoint list, called Manager, with about 8 names.

The lookup column get its values from the First Name field in the lookup list. The lookup list also contains a column which has the email address/name associated with the 'First Name' value.

When an item in this SharePoint list is submitted, I need to send an email to the person who was selected in the Manager field.

Is this possible? and if so, how could I do this?

Re: Send an email to an email address found in a lookup column from a SharePoint list

Hi @Sam12 ,

I have tested on my side, you can configure Flow by the following method.

Lookup column id corresponds to the item ID in lookup list, so we can use Get item action to get the corresponding item.

For example, if the name of the lookup column is Manager, then Manager Id is directly configured in Id field of Get item action to obtain the information of the corresponding item in Lookup list.

However, I am not sure if the type of the column containing the address/name you mentioned is single line of text or Person.

If it is a person type, you need to configure the email dynamic content in To field.

If it is a single line of text, use the corresponding Dynamic content directly.

Please take a try.
