Send an email with account fro mDynamicsCRM

Hi everyone,

I'm a new one on this community.

I knew FLOW for many weeks...I'm working on it.

And, obviously, I got troubles...

I would like to send an email with a table which contains the new accounts.

So, I got two step to get the "recurrence" et "get past time"...then, I got the step "List records" to get the accounts with query/filters (status and createdon)...then, I create a table html...I get the profile O365 and finally I send the email.

All is correct, except I got the ID CreatedBy instead of the fullname...

I tried many stuff (cause I found out many trick on this community) to get the fullname with "Get record"...When I create the step "get Record", I fill "CreatedBy" and the system always put me this step in a EachFor loop. So, I can't get the fullname in my table.

Sorry, I'm french...sorry about my english..so, take a look on my picture (scheme), it may be clearer :

Thanks for all your support,

Baptiste

Re: Send an email with account fro mDynamicsCRM

@Bapt_69 - Ok, so here are a couple of ideas:

  • Create a temporary table, add the Customer information you want, and then go back and update with the user Full Name, then use that to create your HTML table and send that.
  • Do the whole thing as a workflow within D365 and use Flow to schedule it. (This is my preferred) - Here's an article from Aiden Kaskela on how to manage that.

Let me know if either of those will suit your needs.

Thanks!

Re: Send an email with account fro mDynamicsCRM

@Bapt_69

Your English is way better than my French, so no worries there.

Try inserting a step (after the Get Account Record, but before the html step) to do the same "Get Record" action, but this time on the "User" entity.  Use the ID to match and grab the Full Name instead for your table.

Does that help?  Keep us posted.

Yes, but I think the "Create HTML table" might need to be inside the "Apply to Each".

You said you've tried this many times, what was the result?

OK, starting to get into this and seeing that it's not like I pictured it in my head.  I'm trying a few things...

Re: Send an email with account fro mDynamicsCRM

Sorry I didn't quote you...

So, insert the "create a table" in the eachFor loop is already done and it's not working...

I will try your very good idea with the AidenKaskela'sPost!! I read it and it seems to be very good!!

Thank you!!
