Send daily SharePoint calendar entries to a Teams channel

Is there a good way to send a daily Teams message to a channel about calendar entries (from a SharePoint calendar) on a daily basis (preferably only on weekdays)? I tried using this as a base, but I kept getting errors in the formula. The date is in a "Start Time" column with date and time. Thanks!

A SharePoint Calendar is just a list, so you'd work with and control it just as you would normal list items. Working with Date/Time in both Microsoft Flow and SharePoint has specific formatting requirements, so insure that you are formatting your date/time correctly.

For limiting the days that it sends to weekdays, you can use a condition so that you only send the emails on weekdays, to achieve this you would input run a Flow on a schedule and/or use delay until. So if the day is equal to Saturday or Sunday, delay until Monday. 

We built a very complex Flow for our IT team that converts the date and time, updates the time zone, and delays the sending of emails during non-business hours until 8:00AM the following morning. As it is complex, and too big to easily screenshot the steps, I'll share it here as a template (download). 

Please note, that this is a test Flow template, so the recurrence is set to send emails every hour to verify that it works as designed. It'll take some tweaking to meet your needs. If you have further issues, if you provide detailed and expanded screenshots of your Flow and steps we may be able to provide further assistance.

Thank you for the quick reply! I couldn't get the sharepoint entries to be limited to those listed as for today. BTW the column name is Start Time. I'm guessing I need to refer to it as Start_x200_Time?

Could you share the detailed configuration of Filter Query?

I use the methods you provide on my side to achieve the requirements you mentioned.

I guess you are not properly configuring the expression appropriately.

 

utcNow('yyyy-MM-ddT00:00:00Z') and addDays(utcNow(),1,'yyyy-MM-ddT00:00:00Z') need to be written in Expression before they can be applied to the formula.

BTW, if you want the HTML table displayed in Teams message to have grid lines, you could refer to the configuration below.

thank you for the reply. the error message that i'm getting is that the column i'm specifying doesn't exist, but i know that it does. here are the screenshots you requested:

I fixed it. It turned out the sharepoint column name wasn't the name that it was really stored as. Thanks all for your help!

Yes, 'EventDate' is equal to the 'Start Time' column in my sharepoint calendar. I got this Flow to work after I changed the column name as indicated. Thank you all again!
