Send e-mail when new item is added - can list be shown as sender display name?

I have created a Flow that sends email to a certain email address when new item is added to SharePoint list. The problem is that my name is added as sender no matter who creates the new item. Is it somehow possible to change that variable so it would show the creator/list name in the from-field?

Re: Send e-mail when new item is added - can list be shown as sender display name?

Hi @Daisyliini,

The Send an Email Action is based on the corresponding connections, which means the Email would be send from the account used to add the connections.

To change the From field of the send Email Action requires

1.The corresponding Account (or connections) to be switched,

or

2. The account would have the right permission to send mail on behalf of the specified sending account.

Switching connection under Microsoft Flow is not possible, but we may try a workaround based on option 2.

Add a New Account, then use this account to build flow, and configure this account the proper permission to send Email on behalf of the specified sending account needed in the Send Email action. But this is not a recommended way due to security reasons.

It's not just about security reasons that nro 2 is not a good option - when the original creator of the Flow is stripped permissions to the shared mailbox, the Flow ceases to function.
