We have a need to allow our users to generate an email with a small video file attached. It cannot be included as a link due to an iOS limitation around video file downloads via a web browser, so it has to be an attachment.
The proposed solution is too set up a workflow where a user fills out a Form, entering their email address where the file should be sent and which specific video file they would like. It then would search and find the video file in OneDrive for Business, generate an email, and send it with that file attached.
Current Flow Set-Up:
The flow does not result in any errors, but the email is never received.
I've also created another Flow that removes the search for the video file and instead is a unique form for one specific video. This correctly generates the email, however, the attachment is not formatted as a video, and is delivered as unreadable.
First, how can I fix the attachment filetype in the 2nd Flow? And then after that, is there a way I can apply the file search to dynamically pull the right file based on user selection?
Hi @ChristianRusso, it sounds like this is quite an interesting process you are looking to implement. Thank you for posting it.
On the face of it, what you are trying to achieve will be possible although in order for me to suggest the correct method and what connectors and actions to use I would ask if you could post a picture of your Flow with as much detail as possible.

I would advise posting each of these as seperate posts as it is 2 Flows you are working on, but a detailed screen grab of the second Flow should be help me let you know what changes to make in order to get the video attachment working.
Hi @AlanPs1! Thanks for the reply!
So I was able to get the initial, "single-use" attachment notification working great, and here was the flow set up that did the trick:
So, the next step would be to allow this to work for multiple video files based on what they've entered into an additional form response detail. The issue I'm running into now is that when I try and add the step of Finding the Files by Folder Path (to do the search for the file based on the form response detail) followed by Get File Content (to use the file location to get the file content), it does not give me the file content to add as the attachment:
I'm also not sure if it's correct the way that the "Apply to each" container is passing through the data to the next part of the flow, but I can't seem to re-arrange or remove the "Apply to each".
Quick Update: I adjusted the flow so that the "Send an email notification" is within the "Apply to each 2" container, and now there are no errors and I am able to pull the File Content as the attachment:
The issue now is that when the Form is submitted, while the Flow shows as successful, the user does not receive any email at all. I confirmed that this was occurring without the attachment as well, so I'm not sure why the email isn't being sent.
It looks pretty good to me.
Can you please access the last successful run and post any outpots or errors that may be there for the last 2 actions please? The "Get file content" and the "Send an email notification" just so we can make sure there is an output in the way you desire.
If there is an output the way you'd expect I'd check the mail flow to make sure it as actually getting there and not blocked.
But will be clearer when we see the above.
